Walkthrough of Other Home

Nov 15th | 3 PM
Tiger Strikes Asteroid Crane Arts. 1400 N American St

Join us for a walkthrough of Other Home, a dual exhibition at Tiger Strikes Asteroid where Amy Lee Ketchum and Ana Carolina Estarita-Guerrero use animation and interactive installation to dig into what home means when you’re caught between cultures. Lee Ketchum connects Chinese folklore about sun crows to lanternflies and invasive species rhetoric, and what that says about how we talk about immigrants. Estarita-Guerrero creates spatial paradoxes in her installation that mirror the impossible distances of displacement. During the walkthrough the artists will talk about their process and you’ll get behind-the-scenes looks at how these animated worlds were made. Come see how two artists are wrestling with belonging, loss, and the homes we have to keep reinventing.

Algorave | End-of-Year WRAP UP

Join us for our end-of-year wrap-up. A night of live visuals, music, and creative exploration at Algorave, an open mic for visual artists of all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned VJ or just curious about generative art, this is your space to play, experiment, and celebrate the year’s end with the community.

We’ll kick off the evening with a hands-on, beginner-friendly Hydra workshop led by UPenn Professor Ana Estarita, where you’ll learn to create real-time visuals right in your browser, no downloads or installs needed. The workshop starts at 7:15 PM.

After the workshop, the mic and screen open up for live visual jamming, create generative art, glitch visuals, and motion experiments synced to sound. Curios will be DJing throughout the night, setting the vibe as we close out the year with creativity, collaboration, and some unexpected magic.

This is a night of experimentation and play, not perfection. Come to try things, remix, mess up, and make something new together.

When: Nov 11th | 7-10 PM

Where: Post Haste, 2519 Frankford Ave

What to Expect:
A fast, fun intro to live visuals with Hydra
Music-fueled performances by local artists + DJ set by Curios
Cocktails & chill vibes by Post Haste
A welcoming, open space for creativity, connection, and discovery

Bring your laptop if you want to jam, or just come to watch and soak it all in. We’ll also have a shared laptop set up for anyone to use.

This is a free event, but we kindly ask that you support us by purchasing 1–2 drinks, your support helps us keep the creative energy flowing into next year.

Let’s wrap up the year with art, sound, and good vibes.

See you at Algorave!
